Grammy & Grandaddy

A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit us (I mean, the boys), and we had so much fun! Highlights include: porch time, lots of cuddling, a target run, and dinner at Mamacitas! We miss you Grammy and Grandaddy!

Mommy Time

We can already tell they are going to be Mamma's boys! Another fun day on the back porch. One was happy and the other was well... kinda mellow. Can you guess which one was which?

8th month milestones

Everyone keeps asking if the boys are sitting up or crawling yet. Not yet - but they are doing other fun things! Here's a sneak peak into their tummy time, sprinkled with lip-smacking smiles and peppered with a mini breakdown at the end. Enjoy!

Back Porch Sunday

8 Months

Zach and Jonah are fat and happy...what more could you ask for? They are my two little merry men - laughing and squealing at all my funny faces and at each other. I wish everyone could see them and enjoy them like I do every day. They turned 8 months yesterday.

Here's the latest:

• They have discovered hair. My pony tail used to be a hair style of choice -now it is a necessity. They've almost pinched me ballheaded. They love to pull each other's hair too. Yesterday Zach pulled Jonah's hair so hard he made him cry.
• We weighed them this weekend and they each weigh about 19 lbs each! Yes, I have quite nice biceps. In fact, if it weren't for those pesky bikinis I might consider entering a muscle contest. And the body grease...gerrrrrrrrooooooooosssssss!
• Greens are in, oranges are out - veggies that is...
• I swear Jonah said 'ma-ma' the other day, which is wildly ironic considering Jonathan has been trying to get them to say 'da-da' since we brought them home from the NICU. So sorry Jonathan - I promise I'm not bribing them while you are at work.
• Jonah loves loves loves a stuffed doggie that my friend Britt gave me about 5 years ago. It is his favorite toy.
• Jonah smiles at the camera now
• Zach is my little soldier - preferring to stand at attention for as long as someone is willing to hold him.
• Zach holds himself up with his arms when he's on his tummy. I think he'll be crawling soon.
• Jonah will mimic the movement of Jonathan's lips when he sings to him.
• Both are smitten with books.
• Both love music and to be sung to beyond words.

Love Bugs

Life has been so busy these days! So I am peeling my eyes away from my books to make a post! The boys are getting so big - I really think they are at least 20 lbs. You should see their little fat rolls and little piggy toes! So cute - you can't help but eat them up! Their favorite toys are anything that is stuffed. I'm sure stuffed animals aren't age appropriate, but they love them so much. And we keep an eye on them while they are playing.

We finally discovered a food that Zach will not eat - bananas! He flat out refused, which is pretty funny considering he usually keeps his mouth open for another bite even while he is chewing what is already in his mouth! So, bananas were a no-go. Jonah, however, loved them! We'll try again in another week with the Z-man.

Also, here is the Valentines layout I did for Jonathan. This was a Saturday play day with Dad. Maybe there will be another play day this Saturday while Mom goes to the Macy's at LaCantera for their one-day sale (which oddly enough lasts the whole weekend).

Last weekend, the Demings came to visit us, and the boys had so much fun! We had fun too, because we got to go out on a REAL date for Valentine's Day. Neither of us wanted to get dressed up, so we ran to our favorite taco place - Order Up - and chowed down. Then we went to Half Price Books and milled around for about 30 minutes. A perfect date! Thank you Nannie and Papooh for babysitting! We hope you guys got to eat dinner! Here are some fun pics of the weekend!
